Software for optimizing wood panel cutting on CNC nesting and machining centers.

As we all know, carpentry is a long-standing traditional craft in Vietnam. In the past, the quality of wooden products depended primarily on the skill of the carpenter. Today, we have many machines and design software, and automated production systems that help increase productivity and product quality; however, the role of skilled craftsmen has not diminished.

Recently, with the application of machinery to industrial-scale woodworking production, and the use of software for machine design and control, we initially see that machinery and software help us design quickly, produce quickly, and ensure consistent and stable quality. However, after a while, we realize that we are overly dependent on machinery and software. These machines and software are all developed by foreign companies from countries like China, the US, Germany, Italy, etc., according to their production processes. Basically, these software programs are fixed and can only be customized and modified very little. The experience of skilled craftsmen cannot be applied, and problems arising in Vietnamese woodworking production cannot be solved using these foreign software programs. For example, experience in preventing wood chips and small parts from flying off during CNC machining, experience in machining on CNC machines, experience in utilizing leftover wood, etc.

With the desire to supplement foreign software with the expertise of Vietnamese people, and to bring together and realize the secrets, tips, and ideas of Vietnamese people in the woodworking process, Woodsoft Vietnam has developed Woodsoft Optimizers software.

The software works very simply: After designing and modeling using software and exporting to the CNC machine, you just need to import these files into Woodsoft Optimizers, and the software will return optimized files. This software has three main functional groups:

– Optimizing the board cutting process: Preventing misalignment of small details during nesting, simultaneous drilling of two holes, board edging, machining of U-shaped recessed cam locks, etc.

– Optimizing machining processes on machining centers: Optimizing milling, optimizing horizontal drilling, optimizing circular hole boring, etc.

– Convert the machining code format for different machines: Nanxing, Huahua, KDT, SCM , etc.
