Adjust the CNC machine to machine two interlocking surfaces.

There's a very common situation for CNC operators: after machining surface 1, flip the workpiece to machine surface 2. Upon removing it, you find that the drill holes on both surfaces are misaligned. The grooves are also misaligned. All CNC machines have some degree of error. However, an error exceeding 0.1mm is unacceptable in woodworking production. This video guides you on how to adjust the CNC machine so that the two surfaces align within 0.1mm. The process consists of 4 steps: ✨ Create the workpiece model (2 perpendicular grooves + drill holes on both surfaces) in Bazis or SketchUp ✨ Export G-code using Woodsoft, machine surface 1 → flip workpiece → machine surface 2 ✨ Measure the error compared to the standard distance from the edge of the board to the edge of the grooves ✨ Adjust on the machine and run the process again. Repeat until the grooves on both sides align, and the drilled holes are smooth and clean. A few notes: – Each time you place the workpiece, push firmly against the machine's coordinate system. – Flip the board lengthwise, not widthwise. – Woodsoft will bevel the edges of the board by half the cutter diameter before machining, then calculate the compensation yourself when machining the second side.
